About Space Coast Trains, Inc.

Space Coast Trains, Inc. is a not-for-profit club for hobbyists with a passion for new and nostalgic model train and toys.  The club, founded by Mr. Fred Rose, has held four Train & Toy Shows per year for over ten years.  Fred retired in 2005, but the Space Coast Trains, Inc. club and it’s Train & Toy Shows continue to grow and delight adults and children alike.

Since 2004, the club has expanded membership over 100% and average show attendance has increased over 50%.  In 2007, The Train & Toy Show moved to the Azan Shrine Center when larger facilities were needed to accommodate increasing attendance and Exhibitor participation.

Newspaper and radio advertising, on-air interviews by club leaders, and signs placed on all corners leading to the event site on the day of a show have assisted in club and show growth.  However, the best advertising is word-of-mouth, according to Norm Lindsay, one of three show organizers who carefully plan each event.  “We always hear ‘It was a GREAT show!’ from Exhibitors and Attendees, and that’s how we know we are doing it right,” says Norm.

“We are train-people, we love producing the shows and bringing the joy of model trains into the lives of young and old.  That’s our motto, ‘Have Fun!  Play Trains!’
